Dear Central Office Manager / Intergroup Representatives:


Edmonton and Area Central Office would like to invite you to join us in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada at the Ramada Conference Centre, 11834 Kingsway, Edmonton, AB T5G 3J5 for the 23rd Annual Central Office/Intergroup/AAWS Seminar to be held September 26 – 28, 2008. Our theme for this year will be “Communication and Participation – The Key to Unity & Self-Support” “Communication and Participation – The Key to Unity & Self-Support.”

The purpose of the Seminar is to foster greater unity through the exchange of ideas and experience and to provide an opportunity for representatives attending the Seminar to discuss the relevant AA and office operations concerns. It is intended that the activities of the Seminar and its committees will foster AA’s Three Legacies: Unity, Service and Recovery. The Seminar shall never be a policy-making, decision-making or oversight body, except as the location of the Seminar and procedures for the Seminar itself; rather the Seminar is forum for workshops, topic discussions, exchanging ideas and sharing experience.

The representatives at the Seminar shall be composed of Central Office Managers / Intergroup Representatives from each interested Central Office / Intergroup in the United States and Canada. Also there will be representatives from GSO Staff and a representative from the AAWS and Grapevine Boards.

Enclosed you will find:
  1. A Seminar Registration/Questionnaire form. Please complete the form and mail it along with your $25.00 registration fee. Make checks payable to : Edmonton Central Office.
  2. A Ramada Conference Centre brochure. Our special room rate is $82.00 for single, double occupancies and $92.00 for business class plus 5% hotel tax and 5% Goods & Services Tax. Please make your reservations with the Ramada Conference Centre by August 25, 2008 by calling 1-888-747-4114 or direct to the hotel at (780) 453-7308 and mention the 23rd Annual Central Office/Intergroup Seminar. There is complimentary parking, in-room coffee makers, in-room internet access, wireless internet in all public areas and use of Business Centre computers.
  3. Information regarding Immmigration - please check as people with a DUI in their background will need to bring additional paperwork.
